The gardens had flowers, fruits and vegetables which at the time were considered exotic such as melons and artichokes |

finished in 1568
and
inaugurated with a great fete together with the ratification of the peace of Amboise.
Catherine brought the use of utensils in eating, and gourmet
cuisine from her home country of Italy. |
