Your gourmet walking tour of Paris begins at a specialty cheese shop on Boulevard Saint-Germain on the Left Bank. ith an expert guide, discover the secrets of one of the most typically Parisian markets, the Marché d’Aligre.  More than a visit, we invite you to a food and  shopping and a tasting expedition !

The Marché d’Aligre is the only market in Paris to bring together three different markets at the same time in one place, as in classical theater. It features a flea market, an open-air market and a covered market. The Aligre square itself is given over to clothes and bric-a-brac stalls, selling anything from old gramophone players to odd bits of crockery.

There's also a covered food market with the usual line-up of Fromageries and Charcuteries, plus more unusual stalls like the one selling numerous varieties of olive oils.  It's along the adjoining rue d'Aligre, however, where the market really comes to life, the vendors, many of Algerian origin, doing a frenetic trade in fruits and vegetables.

During 3 hours, our guide who lives right on the market, will introduce you to the most authentic shop keepers. Each of them will spend some time sharing with you their passion and of course you will get to taste their products. Here are some of the places we will bring you: the incredible seed merchant who has been there since 1895, an amazing bakery, the inescapable cheese, foie gras, chocolate shops and many more.

Spend a morning in a typical French Bakery  $127.34 [Minimum 2 persons] is an unique occasion: being initiated in the trade of the world famous French bakers!  Learn the secrets of how the crisp baguettes are being made, just right in color and texture and also get the inside dope about the “croissant” by using your own hands in preparing the dough!

Even the Parisians will envy the experience you will live: spending a morning behind the visible part of a baker, in his workshop and learn the various prep-aration steps that explain the fabulous crisp and light baguettes and croissants. You will prepare your own dough and leave at the end of the session with a baguette and a croissant you yourself have baked.

The day starts of course with a breakfast at the bakery where you will get to taste croissant and pain au chocolat.  You will then prepare your own dough, bake your baguette, discover the secrets of croissant and discuss with the bakers to know all their secrets!

You will leave at the end of the session with a baguette and a croissant you yourself have baked. Don’t forget to bring your camera along!

You will prepare, from scratch, 6 pastries or desserts, prepared with seasonal  ingredients and fresh products only.The Chef will guide you through the recipes and will show you some of the great tips he learned along his 10 years of experience as Pastry chef in France, Italy and USA.

You might prepare some desserts like creme brulee, Molten chocolate cake or Soufflé au Grand marnier, but also some madeleine or poached pears with red wine and spices.  After the class you can eat it all or you can choose to take it home with you (except for the creme brulee) to share with the people you love.

With an expert guide, enjoy a high end tour in a very alive neighborhood : Bastille.

During 3.5 hours, our guide will introduce you to the most authentic shop keepers. You will decide with your guide where you want to stop, depending on your tastes and interests : cheese, fruits, seeds, chocolate. Each shop keeper will spend some time sharing with you their passion and of course you will get to taste their products.

Then you will be treted with a fantastic wine and foie gras tasting!  The Foie gras is from Les Landes (a region in the South-West of France).  The Foie gras will of course be served with chutneys, fruits and a variety of breads.  The wines served will be Champagne, Muscat and white wine.  The idea is to learn how to taste Foie Gras and match it with different wines to see the differences.

An amazing experience for all the Foie Gras lovers.
