| Below, is a list of the 22 French regions,
the Outre Mer plus the Principality of Monaco. Immediately, to the right of each region, is the official region number. By clicking on the bullet, to the left of each region, you will produce a list of the region's départements. In the case of the Overseas region, some of the départements expand further by clicking on the bullets of subcategories. In all cases, you can click the bullet a second time to collapse the list. Clicking on the region name will take you to information concerning that region.
Under each region, listed below, we have set forth each of the region's départements [together with the départements' numeric designation]. By clicking on a département name you will be transported to details about the département itself.
Below each département is a listing of the département's principal population centers. Clicking on the city's name will take you to detailled information unique to that city. The city name, followed by the (R), is the regional capital.
At the bottom of each regional, départementental and population center page is a jump table with hyperlinks to the Categorized Web Sites for that region and to a listing of population centers and their corresponding official and non-official web sites.
