or as the other story goes a Scottish munitions carrier, either way 'L'Art de Vivre'
was transformed into a floating celebration of la belle vie in
traditional Burgundian style. She journeys through the Upper Nivernais
region of Burgundy, passing sleepy hamlets, grazing white Charolais
cattle and wooded slopes that nestle close to the canal's edge.
This region exudes charm as your transported back in time while cruising

L'Impressionniste has a large
comfortable interior and spacious sundeck, a jacuzzi, sauna and
fitness room. Cruising into the
wine-producing region of central Burgundy, a
delightful stretch of the Canal de Bourgogne between Dijon and Escommes.
With daily excursions chateaux to vineyards and a visit to
Domaine Laroche in Chablis, the Cistercian Abbey at Fontenay,
the renaissance Château de Tanlay and the medieval fortified
town of Semur-en-Auxois. Fall excursions include
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Avignon, Van Gogh’s Arles and 12th Century
Aigues-Mortes.
L’Impressionniste cruises the Burgundy Canal between Tonnerre
and Veneray-les-Laumes on the edge of the Chablis wine region
between April and September. Then the Beaujolais cruises
commence in the early fall and late October and November are
spent in the South of France and Provence.
